Arriva Buses Wales has said that routes 4, X4, and 5 will currently terminate at St David’s, Ewloe, instead of continuing to Buckley and Mold.

The bus operator confirmed the changes in a statement posted on social media:

“Due to continuing snowfall in Buckley and Mold, services 4, X4, and 5 are currently terminating at St David’s (Hawarden).”

The snowfall, which began on Monday evening, has left side roads across the county blanketed in snow, creating treacherous conditions for motorists and public transport.

Part of the A55 was temporarily closed last night near at Caerwys following a collision and heavy snow, drivers reported ‘horrendous’ conditions around Halkyn and Holywell.

Despite the challenges, the main roads, including the A55 and A494, have been running relatively smoothly this morning.

However, side roads remain difficult to navigate. Residents are advised to exercise caution.

The severe weather has also disrupted education, with Flintshire Council confirming that 66 schools across the county are closed today.

Commuters are encouraged to check travel updates regularly and plan their journeys carefully.

The Met Office has issued a yellow warning for snow, which remains in effect until 11 am today.
