Eight planning applications were registered with Flintshire County Council between 16 and 20 February 2026, covering sites across the county from Sealand to Holywell.

The applications are at various stages and none has yet been determined.

The most substantial in scope is a full application for remediation of land east of Tata Steel at Deeside Industrial Estate, Sealand, registered on 17 February.

The application describes the work as preparing the site for future use. No further detail on the intended end use is set out in the registered description.

A full application has been submitted to change the use of land at Tan Lan Bach Farm, Ffynnongroyw, near Holywell, to a four-pitch residential caravan site, registered on 17 February.

A separate full application seeks to change the use of land at Coast Road, Mostyn, to a single gypsy pitch with a static caravan, touring caravan and utility facilities, registered on 16 February.

An outline application has been submitted for the redevelopment of the former Hebron Church site on Ffordd Pennant, Mostyn, to provide affordable housing comprising four two-bedroom homes, registered on 17 February.

Advertisement consent has been sought for the erection of a freestanding LED digital 48-sheet advertisement at Lyons Den Fitness Centre on Bagillt Road, Bagillt, registered on 17 February.

Listed building consent has been applied for repairs and reinforcements to Pier 7 at Hawarden Bridge, Shotton, registered on 20 February.

Two further applications are administrative in nature. A non-material amendment has been submitted in relation to a previously granted permission for land north of Gwernaffield Road, Mold, registered on 16 February.

A discharge of conditions application seeks approval of conditions relating to an earlier permission at Maen Driw, Pen Y Ball Hill, Holywell, registered on 16 February.

All applications can be viewed on the Flintshire County Council planning portal.
