Flintshire firm’s staff complete 53-mile coast relay from Conwy to Saltney

Colleagues from P&A Group completed a 53-mile charity relay along the North Wales Coast Path on Saturday 13 June, raising around £1,500 for Tenovus Cancer Care and North Wales Wildlife Trust.
The group set off from Conwy Quay shortly after 5am, with team members joining different sections of the route as it progressed eastwards through coastal promenades, beaches, sand dunes and riverside paths.
The relay finished just after 9pm at Saltney, the home of Zest Outdoor Living, a division of P&A Group.
Tenovus Cancer Care representative Vicky Green joined the team for the opening leg from Conwy to Llandudno, and volunteer Kevin Sutton walked part of the route later in the day.
Two colleagues completed the full 53 miles from start to finish: Reza Yaghoubi and Andy Baker, who is also Managing Director of P&A Group.
Andrew Baker, Managing Director of P&A Group, said: “Seeing colleagues from across the Group come together to take on such an ambitious challenge was incredibly inspiring.
“To cover more than 53 miles in a single day is a remarkable achievement and I am immensely proud of everyone who took part, whether they walked a single section, completed the full route, helped with logistics, provided refreshments or supported from the side-lines.”
Donations are still being received and can be made at p-a-group.com/charity.
P&A Group, whose divisions include the Woodworks Garden Centre and Café in Mold and P&A Pallets & Packaging, has raised more than £195,000 for charity since 2010.
