Flintshire County Council develop partnership with ‘Local Solutions’ to support vulnerable families in the region.

The recent partnership sees the charity managing two facilities for vulnerable families.

Sunraye, in Connah`s Quay offers single homeless females between the ages of 16 and 65, supported accommodation with the added benefit of holistic and wrap around support, Plas Bellin Hall Northop, offers temporary supported accommodation for up to 23 single parents and families in cottages, flats and shared facility rooms

The charity is also managing a Floating Support Service for individuals and families whose tenancies may be at risk.

Local Solutions, has been delivering a diverse range of services to tackle the needs of individuals and communities since 1974 including domiciliary and personal care, support for unpaid carers, money advice and welfare benefits, fuel debt advice, work and training opportunities, services for those affected by bullying and domestic violence and responses to homelessness.

The new contracts enhance the organisation’s existing work in Flintshire and Denbighshire which include Supported Lodgings, a floating support service and a Nightstop service, which is preventing vulnerable young people from sleeping rough.

Organisation CEO, Steve Hawkins, commented

“Local Solutions is committed to delivering high quality services that produce the best possible outcomes for those we serve. We look forward to our partnership with Flintshire County Council to help improve the lives of families in crisis.
