Flint Coastguard Call Out 12th may

Flint Coastguard were called into action this afternoon, Tuesday 12 May.

The team were paged by Holyhead Coastguard Operations Centre after they had a 999 call from a concerned member of public regarding a male walking the banks in the middle of the river near Bagillt.

The Flint based team made their way to the area and met the member of public who had made the call,  they also spoke to a local fisherman who confirmed he had picked up the casualty, another fisherman, after he had ran aground in the early hours. 

Team confirmed the story and let Holyhead know that once the tide had turned the intentions of the fisherman was to go back out and recover the vessel.

The first informant was thanked and told she had done the right thing in calling the emrgency services with her concerns.

The Coastguard team were stood down and returned to station.
