Coleg Cambria students who are currently on a Traineeship programme at a satellite centre based at Rhyl Football Club had the fantastic opportunity to meet Wales Football Manager, Chris Coleman.

Rhyl stadium visit

Students Jade McKinlay, Brad Brown, Brian Newbury and Keiran Bell enjoyed the event hosted by Rhyl Football Club to launch the new name of their ground, The Corbett Sport Stadium, following their latest sponsorship deal.

Staff and students were given the opportunity to speak with Chris Coleman and Ann Jones AM who was also in attendance. They asked Mr Coleman for his autograph and both he and Ann Jones AM posed for photographs with the attendees.

Coleg Cambria tutors Rachael Muia and Carol Ann Probert said:

“The clubs vision for education as well as football in the community has enabled us to help over 120 students in the last 12 months. This has brought the increased success of positive progressions for students in the area.

Having the chance to meet Chris Coleman and other dignitaries at this prestigious event was an amazing opportunity for the students and we wish the club every success for the coming season.”
