Burst water main in Mold causing problems to both traffic and drinking water

The A5119 in New Brighton, Mold is closed due to a burst water main.

Heavy traffic has been reported in the area between New Brighton Crossroads and Shell Roundabout

A diversion is in operation – Vehicles are being diverted via the A494 Mold bypass, A541 Chester Road and A5119 King Street.

The burst water main is affecting drinking water supplies in the New Brighton.

Welsh Water say they have a team on site repairing the damaged main and anticipate that water supplies should begin returning to normal by later in the morning.
