Burst water main cuts supplies to Sandycroft homes

A burst water main is affecting supplies to homes in the Sandycroft area of Deeside, Welsh Water has confirmed.

The company says it became aware of the burst on its network at 23:50 on Saturday 21 February 2026. It is currently at Stage 1, meaning the fault is under investigation.

Residents may experience low pressure or no water until the pipe is repaired.

Welsh Water says: “We’re aware of a burst on our network which is affecting the water supply to this area. Until the pipe is fixed, you may experience low pressure or no water.”

The company had listed an estimated completion time of 06:00 on Sunday 22 February, but the incident record was updated at 06:09, with the status,
still showing as Stage 1 investigation. No revised completion time is given in the notice.

Welsh Water says: “We expect all supplies to be fully restored by later this evening. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
The company advises residents to run a cold kitchen tap to clear any discolouration once supplies are restored.
