Fire crews have been attending a building fire on Glynne Street in Queensferry this Sunday lunchtime.

The blaze broke out in a disused chapel just after 12.20pm, Dundas Street which runs alongside the building was closed to traffic with a cordon in place.

Three fire appliances were sent to the fire which appears to have come from inside the building and spread to the roof.

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus were seen tackling the blaze.

Jami Jennings, Community Safety Manager for Flintshire and Wrexham said: “The fire has been contained, but we are advising people to stay away from the area, as we try to establish the cause.”

The roof of the chapel has been destroyed by the fire.
