Beauty Students Come Out Top in Region

Four Coleg Cambria Beauty Therapy students have wowed judges in their regional heats of the World Skills UK Beauty Competition held in Warrington.

Over 150 Beauty Therapists from across six colleges in the North West competed in the regional heats. Skills in Beauty Therapy, Holistic Therapy, Media Makeup and Nail Technology were all tested

In the Advanced Nails Level 3 heat, Coleg Cambria’s Sammie Keene and Jane Davies came 2nd and 3rd respectively. Michelle Thomas was placed 2nd in the Nail Art Intermediate Level 2 heat. Finally Danielle Smallman came 2nd in the Fashion/Photographic Makeup Intermediate heat.

Coleg Cambria Level 3 Course Coordinator, Christine Sanders said: “The girls worked extremely hard and showed great commitment and enthusiasm both before and during the competition. This is a fantastic achievement and we, as a college, are very proud of them all.”
