Every year Councillor Aaron Shotton invites schoolchildren to draw a seasonal picture with the winning design being printed professionally.

This year it was the turn of Golftyn County Primary School pupils and Councillor Shotton made a special visit to present the prize to year six winner Annabelle Creaney.

Annabelle receives tickets for Beauty and the Beast; the roll ‘n’ roll pantomime at Clwyd Theatr Cymru.

Second and third place went to ten-year old Nadia Tas and Kirsty Roberts also aged 10.

Councillor Shotton said:

“The standard was very high and I was very impressed with the creativity of all the designs. The pupils made a huge effort and it was very difficult to choose a winner. The card will be sent out to all Councillors and Government representatives including the First Minister for Wales, Carwyn Jones AM.”
