Armed Forces and Emergency Services Day added to Mold’s Sunday market this weekend

News and Info from Deeside, Flintshire, North Wales

The Sunday Gathering Artisan Market returns to Mold town centre this Sunday with an Armed Forces and Emergency Services Day bringing together military and blue light organisations from across north Wales.

The market runs from 10am to 2pm on 28 June at Daniel Owen Square and the Daniel Owen Centre, Mold CH7 1DT.

Confirmed attendees for the Armed Forces and Emergency Services element include the Welsh Ambulance Services NHS Trust, North Wales Police, North Wales Fire and Rescue Service, NEWSAR, the Royal Welch Fusiliers Comrades Association (Shotton and Deeside Branch), the Royal National Lifeboat Institution, Clwyd and Gwynedd Army Cadet Force and 1378 (Mold) Squadron RAF Air Cadets.

Visitors will also be able to see a vintage ‘Green Goddess’ military fire engine on the day.

The Royal Welch Fusiliers Corps of Drums Association, described by the organisers as a voluntary, non-profit organisation dedicated to preserving the musical heritage of the Royal Welch Fusiliers, will perform twice during the event.

More than 35 stalls are confirmed for the market, covering artisan food, drink, crafts and gifts.

New traders this month include Smashed Cow Sauces and Bathing Beauty, a bath and body care brand.

Returning this month is Glyndwr Pies, which makes pies in Mold.

The Mold Historic Guide Volunteers will offer guided walks around the town at three points during the day.

Places can be reserved by emailing [email protected] or through the Totally Mold website.

Meadow Place Car Park, next to the Daniel Owen Centre, will be closed from 7am until the event ends.

All other Mold town centre car parks are free on Sundays.

There will be no classic car display at this month’s market due to the additional activities on the car park.

Artisan traders, performers, community groups and classic vehicle owners interested in future markets can contact the organisers at [email protected].
