Friday 21st December

Update: It looks like TfW have found more resources and trains are now back running as per timetable.

Earlier Report: Transport for Wales (TfW) has said train services between Wexham and Bidston, which call at Shotton have been cancelled due what it describes as ‘resource availability.’

So far today, the 12.31pm Wrexham Central to Bidston service, the 1.32pm Bidston to Wrexham Central service and the 2.32pm Bidston to Wrexham Central have been cancelled.

TfW says coaches are replacing those services which have been cancelled but have advised passengers to consider travelling by train to Chester at it may be quicker.

“The train operators website states:

Pat’s Coaches is supplying replacement road transport.

Passengers at Wrexham General, Shotton and Bidston may find using alternative rail services via Chester provides a faster journey.

If you have experienced a delay or cancellation, please contact our customer relations team or pick up a form from your nearest ticket office.

You can email us using: customer.relations@tfwrail.wales”
