Man arrested over woman’s death in Flint released ‘pending further enquiries’

A man arrested on suspicion of murder after a woman died in Flint on Saturday has been released ‘pending further enquiries.’

Police and paramedics were called to an address in the town in the early hours of Saturday morning where they found a female with significant injuries, sadly she died at the scene.

A post-mortem has been conducted and detectives say they are following a number of lines of enquiry to establish the circumstances surrounding her death.

Specialist officers have been deployed to the investigation and police have spoken to a number of witnesses.

Detective Inspector Tim Evans said:

This is a tragic incident and our thoughts are with the family. Specialist officers have been deployed to support them during the investigation.

Whilst there are enquires ongoing the male who was arrested has now been released pending further enquires.
