Alyn & Deeside By-Election – February 6th 2018

[miptheme_dropcap style=”normal” color=”#222222″ background=””]A[/miptheme_dropcap] by-election will take place in the National Assembly for Wales constituency of Alyn and Deeside on Tuesday 6 February.

The by-election follows the tragic death of incumbent Labour AM Carl Sargeant on 7 November 2017.

The election will be the fourth Assembly by-election to be held since its formation in 1999.

Five candidates are standing in the election they are;

Conservative – Sarah Atherton; Plaid Cymru – Carrie Harper; Liberal Democrat – Donna Lalek; Green – Duncan Rees; Labour – Jack Sargeant

The seat is a safe seat for the Labour Party, having been held continuously by the party since the beginning of devolved government.
