Customer toilets coming to Eastgate Square Chester after shoppers called for facilities

News and Info from Deeside, Flintshire, North Wales

Customer toilets are returning to Eastgate Square in Chester, with work under way to install facilities on the first floor of the unit that previously housed Topshop.

The centre says the toilets will open this year, though no specific date has been confirmed.

Lisa Rogers, Centre Manager at Eastgate Square, said: “We’ve heard the question more times than we can count, ‘When are the toilets coming back?’, so it’s incredibly satisfying to finally say that they’re on their way.”

“These new facilities will be modern, comfortable and located in a really convenient place for visitors. Alongside the wider improvements happening across the centre, they’re another step towards making Eastgate Square a place people can rely on.”

Gary Martin, Director at Martin Property Group, said: “This is one of those improvements that might sound simple, but it makes a huge difference to those visiting the centre.”

“As we continue to invest in Eastgate Square, it’s important that the space works for everyone, whether they’re here for a quick visit or spending a few hours shopping, eating and enjoying the city.”
