Work continues after major water main burst in Broughton

Welsh Water says supplies in parts of Flintshire remain disrupted following a major burst water main in Broughton.
The incident has affected properties in areas including Holywell, Flint, Ffynnongroyw, Greenfield, Mostyn, Talacre, Bagillt and Mancot.
Crews worked through the night to repair the damaged pipe, which was located four metres underground and close to underground electric cables. Welsh Water said the repair was complex but has now been completed.
The company is now carefully refilling the water main to avoid further bursts elsewhere in the network. Customers in affected areas may continue to experience intermittent supplies or no water until later today.
A bottled water station has been set up at the Jade Jones Pavilion in Flint, postcode CH6 5ER, and deliveries are being prioritised for vulnerable customers on Welsh Water’s Priority Services Register.
A spokesperson said: “We will continue to keep customers updated throughout the day and apologise to anyone experiencing disruption. Please be assured we are working hard to resolve this significant incident as quickly and safely as possible.”
