Welsh Water has issued updated timings for the restoration of water supplies across Flintshire following recent disruptions caused by a burst main in Broughton.

The company said water would return in phases as the network is re-filled.

Supplies are expected to return to Flint, Bagillt, Holywell and parts of Mold by around 9pm on Saturday.

Later on Saturday evening, water is due to return to Deeside, more areas of Mold and Connah’s Quay by around 11pm.

The final stage will focus on outlying properties in Broughton and the wider Flintshire area, with full restoration expected by late Sunday morning.

Welsh Water said some properties may take longer to receive water because of elevation, which can cause low pressure, or due to air locks in the system.

Crews are also on standby in case of secondary bursts during the re-filling process.

Welsh Water said: “Thank you for your patience and understanding while we work to get everything back to normal as quickly and safely as possible.”

The company continues to operate bottled water stations at:

Jade Jones Pavilion, Flint CH6 5ER

Park & Ride Car Park, Deeside Industrial Park, CH5 2NY

Car Park at County Hall, Mold CH7 6NF

Customers are being asked to take only what they need and to check in on elderly or vulnerable family members, friends or neighbours to ensure they have bottled water.
