Van driver arrested in Deeside after testing positive for cocaine and reported 5 other offences

A van driver was arrested in Deeside today after allegedly testing positive for cocaine.
Police pulled the Transit tipper over at the Ewloe Weighbridge as part of a joint operation today.
The driver was also reported for a number of other offences including using vehicle in a dangerous condition.
A spokesman for North Wales Road Policing Unit said:
“A joint operation at the weighbridge in Ewloe today between ourselves, our Special Constabulary colleagues on the Road Safety Unit and the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency.”
“This vehicle was stopped and the driver has been reported for the following offences:
-exceeding permitted weight
-using the vehicle in a dangerous condition (no rear lights at all)
-no rear number plate on the trailer
-no valid MOT for the van
-driving otherwise in accordance with a licence (not valid to tow a trailer over 750kg)
and to top it off the driver was arrested after testing positive for cocaine…”
