North Wales Police’s Roads Policing Unit has issued traffic offence reports to two drivers caught speeding on the A55 near Broughton during Tuesday evening’s rush hour.

One driver was recorded travelling at 92mph, while another reached a speed of 120mph.

The police unit said these speeds are unacceptable on a busy stretch of road and highlighted their focus on enforcing the Fatal 5 offences, which include speeding, drink or drug driving, using a mobile phone while driving, not wearing a seatbelt, and careless or dangerous driving.

The driver caught at 120mph is likely to face disqualification.

The Roads Policing Unit said it will continue to enforce these offences to keep North Wales roads safe.
