Traffic disruption reported on A55 near Holywell and A494 at Queensferry

Two separate incidents are causing traffic problems on routes in Flintshire this morning.

On the A55 eastbound, a collision between J32 for Holywell (A5026) and J33 for Northop (A5119) is partially blocking the road.

The incident was reported shortly after 11.30am today (Friday 29 August). Queues are stretching back around five miles, with traffic very slow-moving.

On the A494 westbound, an obstruction is partially blocking the road between the A550 Welsh Road (Shotwick / Birkenhead turn-off) and the A550 Gladstone Way (Queensferry / Sandycroft turn-off).

Traffic is queueing in the area while the obstruction is cleared.

Motorists are being advised to expect delays on both routes.
