Theatr Clwyd CEO named IoD Wales Director of the Year for Sustainability

The Chief Executive of Theatr Clwyd in Mold has been named Director of the Year for Sustainability at the IoD Wales Director of the Year Awards 2026.
Liam Evans-Ford collected the award at the ceremony on 8 May 2026.
The category, sponsored by the Welsh Government, recognises the most ethical and socially responsible green business leader in Wales.
Theatr Clwyd said the win followed its recent redevelopment, which replaced gas heating with an air source heat pump system and added solar panels.
Liam Evans-Ford said:
“It’s a great honour to receive such a prestigious award both personally and for Theatr Clwyd. We have made wholesale change both to how our organisation works, but also in our building, from air source heat pumps to solar panels. This is testament to the hard work of our teams, from our company members to our architects and design teams, in imagining and then delivering a green, sustainable future.”
Theatr Clwyd is one of Wales’s largest producing theatres and is based off Raikes Lane in Mold.
