Police target anti-social behaviour with new Connah’s Quay operation

News and Info from Deeside, Flintshire, North Wales

North Wales Police has launched Operation Lens in Connah’s Quay.

It follows an increase in reports of anti-social behaviour involving groups of young people in the area, particularly during the early hours of the morning.

Officers will carry out increased patrols and gather evidence to identify those responsible.

Positive action will be taken where offences are identified.

Sergeant Dave Smith said: “We understand the frustration and concern these incidents are causing within our community. Operation Lens is focused on identifying those responsible for anti-social behaviour and taking positive action where offences are committed. We will continue to work proactively to ensure Connah’s Quay remains a safe place. I’d also ask parents and guardians to consider where their children are during the early hours of the morning and what they are doing. Working together, we can prevent young people from becoming involved in behaviour that has a real impact on our communities.”

North Wales Police is asking parents and guardians to be aware of where their children are and what they are doing during the early hours.

Anyone who witnesses anti-social behaviour is asked to report it to North Wales Police.
