Teenage motorcyclist taken to hospital after coming off his bike near County Hall in Mold

A teenage motorcyclist was taken to hospital on Tuesday evening after coming off his bike on the dual carriageway between Mold and New Brighton.

One Deeside.com reader got in touch with us to say they had seen a motorcyclist “on the floor” after coming off the motorcycle on the small section of dual carriageway between the New Brighton traffic lights and County Hall in Mold.

Three Welsh ambulance service vehicles were spotted at the scene of the incident which happened at around 9.30pm on Tuesday evening.

The rider was taken to Wrexham’s Maelor with non-life-threatening injuries.

A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesman told us;

“We were called at about 9.35pm Tuesday 4th October to reports that a person had come off their motorcycle on the A5119 in Mold heading towards New Brighton.

A rapid response vehicle and two emergency ambulances attended the scene and a teenage male was taken to Wrexham Maelor Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.”

We wish him a speedy recovery.
