Rhyl sink 10 man gap Connah’s Quay leaving them rooted to the foot of the table

Goals from Liam Dawson, Michael Walsh and Levi Mackin saw Rhyl run out winners over a ten man gap Connahs Quay side who had Luke Holden sent off just before half time.

The home side’s goal scored by Sean Miller in front of a crowd of 528 tonight at the Deeside Stadium.

The result leaves the nomads rooted to the foot of the table with just 2 points from  6 games.

Rhyl took the lead on 32 minutes when Liam Dawson who struck after an initial shot was saved, he shot past McCormick and the covering Nomads defender.  

Just before the break Luke Holden was shown a straight red card, leaving the Nomads a mountain to climb in the second half.

Sean Miller replied with a goal, slotting the ball past Ramsay from the right side of the box, his shot over the line before the chasing defender could collect the ball.

The Nomads began to battle in the midfield, yet could not stop Levi Mackin’s goal which was hit from outside the box before curving into the top left corner of the net.
