More than 150 cannabis plants have been seized in Sandycroft following a warrant carried out by North Wales Police.

The discovery was made by officers from North Flintshire’s Neighbourhood Policing Team, who confirmed the plants were destined for destruction.

Police said the operation followed a period of intelligence gathering and court approval for the warrant.

A spokesperson said officers were grateful for the patience shown by residents while the investigation was carried out, and apologised for any disruption in the Sandycroft area during the raid.

The force added that the work was part of its focus on making communities safer by targeting drug production.
