Live on the Square returns to Mold for eighth year on 3 May

News and Info from Deeside, Flintshire, North Wales

Tickets for the eighth annual Live on the Square music festival in Mold are selling fast, organisers say, with the event returning to Daniel Owen Square on Sunday 3 May 2026.

The event runs from 12.30pm to 9.30pm.

It is ticket-only, with no admission without a ticket.

Tickets cost £12, with no concessions and no sales to under-18s.

The 2026 lineup features six bands and three solo performers.

The bands are Anomaly, Right Turn Clyde, Tempting Fate, Sidewinder, Fam Jam and My Eleventh Toe.

The solo performers are Amy Tasker, Joe Butler and Mali Sigsworth.

Four of the bands are making their Live on the Square debuts: Anomaly, Right Turn Clyde, Tempting Fate and Fam Jam.

Sidewinder and My Eleventh Toe return after previous appearances.

Solo performer Amy Tasker is also returning from previous years.

Cllr Pete Dando, who organises the event as a volunteer alongside Jim Evans with support from Mold Town Council, said: “We are all looking forward to this year’s Live on the Square and again have six amazing local bands and solo singers throughout the day. Our lineup this year includes two returning favourites and four debutants to the Live on the Square stage which we are all very excited about – the decision on choosing which bands to perform gets more and more difficult each year with such amazing talent we have locally!”

Jane Evans, Mold Town Council Events and Community Engagement Officer, said: “Live on the square is one of the most talked about events in the town and there’s always a fantastic atmosphere. This will be our 8th year and this year looks no different, so make sure you get your tickets if you want to join us on the square as each year we have had to turn people away as they did not have a ticket, so we cannot stress enough that without a ticket you are not guaranteed entry.”

Tickets are sold in cash at Bargain Booze, Mold Alehouse and the Mold Town Council office in Daniel Owen Precinct, next to Hughes Pharmacy.

They can also be reserved by bank transfer by contacting Mold Town Council on 01352 758532 option 3 or [email protected].

Food and drink will be available at the event.

No alcohol can be brought in by ticket holders because of licensing restrictions.

Full terms and conditions are available on the Live on the Square Facebook page or by request from Mold Town Council.
