Half-term fun lined up at Deeside and Flint leisure centres

Families looking for ways to keep children entertained this October half-term will find plenty to do at Deeside Leisure Centre and Jade Jones Pavilion Flint.
From Saturday 25 October to Sunday 2 November, both venues operated by Gwella will host a packed programme of affordable family activities, all bookable online at www.gwella.wales

At Deeside Ice Arena, visitors can enjoy skating sessions on North Wales’ only Olympic-sized rink, with penguin and banana skating aids available for beginners.
The Inflatable Park offers a choice of challenges including the Air Mountain, Drop Slide and 360° Slide, while parents can watch from the nearby café. The Indoor Skate Park caters for skateboarders, scooter riders and BMX fans, featuring a Street Plaza, Quarter Pipe and Mini Ramp, with sessions for juniors and adults.
At Jade Jones Pavilion Flint, families can make the most of soft play, ten-pin bowling and swimming in the 25-metre pool and learner pool. The site also features a fitness suite and café bar, making it a convenient destination for family days out or rainy-day activities.
Families in Mold and Buckley can also get involved, with both local leisure centres running open swim sessions, family splash times and junior activities throughout the week.
For parents seeking a quieter moment, Deeside Leisure Centre’s Afon Spa offers a range of beauty and body treatments, alongside a thermal suite designed for relaxation.
