Garden waste collections delayed to evening across Flintshire today
Flintshire households due a brown bin collection today will have their garden waste collected this evening instead of during the day.
The change follows a rise in recycling volumes across the county after recent hot weather.
Garden waste crews and vehicles have been moved temporarily to help clear recycling collections during daytime hours.
Flintshire County Council said residents due a collection today should leave their bin out and not report it as missed.
Crews will return to collect brown bins later this evening.
The council said, “We apologise for any inconvenience and thank residents for their patience and understanding while we work to restore normal service levels as quickly as possible.”
