News and Info from Deeside, Flintshire, North Wales

Toyota Manufacturing UK has announced that applications are now open for its highly regarded 2025 intake of Production and Maintenance Apprenticeships.

Based at the company’s state-of-the-art engine plant in Deeside, the apprenticeships offer an opportunity for young people to gain hands-on experience, develop technical skills, and launch a rewarding career in manufacturing and engineering.

The application deadline is set for 17 February 2025, giving prospective apprentices just under a month to secure their spot on these sought-after programmes.

Programmes on Offer

Toyota is offering two main apprenticeship streams:

  1. Production Apprenticeships
These focus on equipping apprentices with the skills to work efficiently in production roles, learning about quality control, manufacturing systems, and problem-solving techniques.
  2. Maintenance Apprenticeships
Apprentices in this programme will develop expertise in maintaining and repairing high-tech machinery, ensuring the smooth running of Toyota’s advanced production lines.

Both programmes combine on-the-job training at the Deeside plant with academic study, offering a robust foundation for a career in manufacturing or engineering.
