Deeside care staff raise over £1,000 in Sparkle Walk challenge

A team from Flintshire-based care agency Deeside Home Care Ltd have raised £1,050 for the Hospice of the Good Shepherd in Backford, Chester.
The group took part in the hospice’s annual nighttime Sparkle Walk to support the charity’s work with people and families affected by life-limiting illnesses.
The fundraising team, led by Managing Director Natalie Marshall, joined forces to raise the amount as part of a wider goal to support charities that help people they work with.
Deeside Home Care provides palliative care services to people at the end of their lives.
Managing Director Natalie Marshall said: “We were absolutely delighted to get involved with fundraising for the Hospice. The Hospice is a very worthwhile cause, and we were amazed that we managed to raise £1,050 for the charity.
“I personally did the walk last year with my friend Sophie in memory of her lovely Dad Mark. This year Sophie and I both took part in the walk again but involved our teams from both of our businesses to increase the impact of our fundraising efforts. I would like to thank everyone who sponsored us and supported us. We were overwhelmed with the support for this fantastic and well deserving charity.”
