Access to Ewloe Castle and Wepre Park from Stamford Way will be closed for 10 days from next Monday.

The Castle Access Track, opposite Ewloe Kennels, will be closed from March 22 for resurfacing.

For those parking in the lay by alongside Stamford Way, a diversion route is available further down the road towards Shotton Lane.

A post on the FCC Wepre Park Facebook Page states: “From 22nd of March for approximately 10 days, the Castle Access Track (shown in red) to Ewloe Castle will be closed for surfacing to improve vehicular and public access.”

“There will be no access to Ewloe Castle via this track during this time.”

“If you park at the layby opposite Ewloe Boarding Kennels, please follow the diversion in green.”

Work on one of the main walking trails through Wepre Park has now been completed.

Repair work on the path at the Red Rocks began in February following a landslip.
