A55 all lanes back open following earlier ‘incident’ near Flintshire border

Update: The A55 eastbound heading into Flintshire is back open, a traffic report for the area states:

“One lane closed and heavy traffic due to multi-vehicle collision on A55 North Wales Expressway Eastbound between J27 A525 The Roe (St Asaph) and J30 (Travellers Inn). The road was fully closed earlier but has been partially reopened as of around 09:30, with lane one (of two) remaining closed.”

Earlier report: There is congestion on the A55 heading into Flintshire following an ‘incident’ that has resulted in the eastbound carriageway being completely blocked.

The incident has happened between J29 Pant-Y-Dulath Interchange and J30 near the Travellers Inn, causing a standstill in traffic.

Traffic Wales has said: “We are dealing with an eastbound incident between J29 Rhuallt and J30 Pant y Dulath.”

Traffic Officer’s are on scene to assist.”

Road is currently blocked causing heavy congestion.”

A traffic report for the area mentions a collision in the area, it states:

“Road blocked and stationary traffic due to a collision on A55 North Wales Expressway Eastbound between J29 Pant-Y-Dulath Interchange and J30 (Travellers Inn).WhereEastbound A55 between A55 J29 / Pant-Y-Dulath Interchange and A55 J30 (Travellers Inn).”
