Watch Out: Bogus gardeners in Ewloe demanding money from elderly residents.

Police are asking residents in Ewloe to keep an eye out for three men who turned up at an older persons address on Friday 22nd August demanding money for gardeneing work that had’nt been carried out.

The incident happened in the  Ewloe Green area, the men claimed other employees had been working at the property previously in the week, undertaking gardening duties.

The resident has their own regular gardener and asked the men to leave, the men then asked for money which was refused, they then left.

The First male is described as aged between 40 and 50 years old, he is around 5ft 6 inches tall, he was a stocky build with light brown thinning hair and was wearing light jeans, cap and a light blue or grey jacket.

The two other males – both aged around 18 years – one was around 6ft, ginger hair, slim build the other 5ft 8in, dark hair, slim.

They had Irish accents and were travelling in a black coloured pick-up type vehicle with a tree transfer on the bonnet.
