Two new tenants move into Flint Trade Zone

News and Info from Deeside, Flintshire, North Wales

Two new businesses have secured space at the recently completed Flint Trade Zone, continuing the transformation of Flint’s retail and business landscape.

City Electrical Factors (CEF), the UK’s largest electrical wholesaler, and Bevans, a long-standing hardware and DIY retailer, have moved into newly developed trade counter units at the site.

CEF has taken a 5,225 sq ft unit, marking an expansion that reinforces its nationwide presence.

The company, which operates nearly 400 branches across the UK, sees its new Flint location as a way to enhance customer convenience while maintaining its high-quality service standards.

Bevans, a fixture on Flint High Street, has relocated to a 5,000 sq ft unit, expanding its operations to serve a broader range of customers.

The Flint Trade Zone is part of a repurposing effort by landlords Hollins Murray Group (HMG), who have invested heavily in the town’s retail infrastructure.

The site is strategically located adjacent to Flintshire Retail Park and the Jade Jones Pavilion Leisure Centre, making it an attractive option for growing businesses.

Josh Moores, a surveyor at HMG, highlighted the significant interest in the new development:

“With significant investment in the trade and retail offering in Flint, we have seen a number of high-profile occupiers interested in space which we have created to suit their needs.”

Mark Diaper, Director at Legat Owen, who brokered the deals, expressed optimism about the scheme’s future:

“The new trade units will appeal to businesses looking for a location that is well connected in an already established business and retail destination.”

Two units remain available at Flint Trade Zone, offering 4,636 sq ft and 4,910 sq ft of space, which can be combined to meet the needs of larger tenants.

The deal for CEF was facilitated by Jeremy Salter at Property Consult, with Sixteen Real Estate and CSP Retail acting as joint agents for trade and retail inquiries.
