Two boys involved in a collision near Connah’s Quay High School ‘are fine’

Two boys involved in a collision on Golftyn Lane near to Connah’s Quay High School are ‘fine’ according to the cousin of one of them.

The two boys were taken to hospital this morning following a collision involving a car and a bicycle.

Golftyn Lane was closed while emergency services dealt with the collision which happened just before 8.30 this morning.

A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesman said;

“We were called at shortly after 8.25am to reports of a road traffic collision involving a car and a bicycle on Golftyn Lane in Connah’s Quay.
An emergency ambulance attended the scene and two boys were taken to the Countess of Chester Hospital; one with minor injuries and the other with injuries which are not thought to be life-threatening.”

The auntie of one of the boys posted an update on the Deeside.com Facebook page saying “so glad they are ok”

The road reopened around 9am.
