Toyota staff at Deeside Engine Plant have once again donated generous amounts of food and gifts to Flintshire Foodbank and North Wales Superkids.

Staff at the engine plant, along with on-site contractors AMS Services and Footsteps Dance – who have links with Toyota staff – donated food, toiletries, toys, gift sets and selection boxes.

This year, Toyota’s Charitable Trust also sponsored the Christmas food bags provided by Flintshire Foodbank.

The trust and Unite Union also provided financial support to both charities.

Toyota spokesperson Natalie Morris said: “As you would expect in the current climate, both charities have been inundated with
requests for support this year, so this generous donation will go a long way to supporting local families this Christmas.”

“Since the start of production in 1992, Toyota Manufacturing UK has contributed to a variety of local community causes.”

“Through the social contributions programme, over £7 million has been donated to many local, worthy charities and organisations.”
