Thunderstorm warning remains in place for Flintshire today with fresh alert for Monday

Flintshire is currently under a yellow thunderstorm warning, with heavy showers and scattered storms expected to continue throughout Sunday 20 July.
The Met Office warns that rainfall of 20-40mm could fall in some areas within a few hours, causing localised flooding and difficult driving conditions.
Transport disruption is likely, with possible delays and cancellations to bus and train services due to flooding or lightning strikes.
There is also a slight chance of power cuts and damage to homes and businesses from floodwater, lightning, hail, or strong winds.
Residents are advised to secure outdoor items such as bins and garden furniture ahead of the storms, prepare emergency supplies including torches and charged devices, and avoid sheltering under trees or exposed areas during thunder.
Looking ahead, a fresh yellow thunderstorm warning has been issued for Monday 21 July from 11am to 9pm Similar heavy showers and storms are expected, bringing further risks of flooding and travel disruption.
Those in flood-prone areas should prepare a flood plan and emergency kit, while all road users are encouraged to check local travel conditions before setting out.
