Saltney High Street salon burglary: man charged with seven offences

A 41-year-old Birkenhead man has been remanded in custody after being charged in connection with a burglary at a salon on Saltney High Street.

David Christopher McCouid, of Sidney Street, Birkenhead, appeared before Mold Magistrates Court on 23 April.

He faces two counts of burglary, three counts of vehicle interference, one count of fraud and one count of possession of a knife, North Wales Police said.

Officers were called to the salon in the early hours of Wednesday 22 April.

Further reports of vehicle interferences in the area came in later the same morning, the force said.

Response officers from Flintshire South arrested a suspect the same day.

He is next due to appear at Mold Crown Court on 14 May.
