RSPCA charity shop staff were delighted to receive a cheque for £200 from the Asda store in Queensferry.

The RSPCA charity shop in Shotton was nominated and selected for Asda Queensferry’s Community Life Charity.

As one of three local charities chosen for the January and February round, customers voted using Asda’s green token system.

RSPCA Shotton shop was then chosen as the winner and received a cheque for £200.

Shop manager of the Chester Road West store, Cath Wilcock, said: “We are delighted to have been chosen as the winner and would like to thank Asda, and of course all of the customers who voted for us.

“This donation is very gratefully received.”

The shop has been in Shotton for seven years and donations of saleable clothes, bric-a-brac or cash can be made at the shop.
