Road closed in Flintshire on Sunday evening due to a single vehicle crash

A driver was taken to hospital last night after a single vehicle collision in Caergwle on Sunday night.

The accident happened just after 9.30pm, reports on social media talked of  a large emergency service presence near the railway bridge between Hope and Caergwrle.

A spokesperson for North Wales Fire and Rescue Service confirmed they are in attendance at a single vehicle collision on Hawarden Road, Caergwrle.

Two crews from Wrexham are at the scene and cutting equipment has been used to remove the roof of the vehicle.

The driver way taken to Wrexham  Maelor hospital with minor injuries.

The road reopened at around 10:40pm
