As part Flintshire Council’s county wide road resurfacing programme, works will begin on the A5119 Northop Road, Flint on 29 September for approximately three weeks.

During this period both Halkyn Street and Coed Onn Road will be closed at the junctions with the A5119 Northop Road. A temporary one way system on Chapel Street will be in place from 29 September to 2 October.

A width restriction will be in force throughout the duration of the works with vehicles being diverted along the A55/A494/A548.

In addition to the above restrictions, on 10 – 11 October the A5119 Northop Road will be closed to all through traffic.

Councillor Bernie Attridge, Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Environment said:

“This is the latest part of the major investment into the County’s roads and highlights the importance of a well maintained highway network to Flintshire County Council.’’

The £1.8m project has been funded by contributions from the Welsh Government’s Highway Prudential Borrowing Initiative and the Council’s own capital resurfacing allocation.
