Schoolchildren from across the North have taken part in a Christmas card design competition for Plaid Cymru regional MS Llyr Gruffydd.

The winning card for schools in Flintshire was designed by Lexi from the year one class in Queensferry Community Primary School.

She was presented with a surprise gift by Llyr Gruffydd with teachers and class in attendance.

Llyr Gruffydd said: “I was delighted with the standard of the card designs this year.”

“It’s clear a lot of thought and talent has gone into producing them and it’s nice to meet the young designers and their teachers to thank them in person. ”

“The winning design will be sent out across the region and I hope the pupils will take pride in their work being seen by many more people.”

Other winners included Milly from Bodnant Community School in Prestatyn and Elis from Ysgol Pentrecelyn near Ruthin.
