Knife wielding sex attacker from Queensferry jailed for life.

Barry Rosedale of Chester Road West, Queensferry was jailed for life today at Mold Crown Court after he was found guilty of a series of sex attacks in the Queensferry area.

Rosedale, previously admitted attempting to rape a woman and possessing a knife as an offensive weapon at a pedestrian walkway at Gladstone Way in Queensferry.

He waged a  three month “a campaign of terror” against women walking at night in the Queensferry area.

Judge Niclas Parry said.

“Your intention was to abduct them in order to rape them or commit serious sexual offences against them.”

Rosedale, 43, walked the streets looking for women armed with a knife, and a ripped up t-shirt to use as a gag as well as shoe laces to tie them up.

He attacked three different women including one who was pregnant and tied them up with the intention to rape them

He admitted attempted rape, sexual assault and robbery.

Judge Niclas Parry at Mold Crown Court described Rosedale as “the worst nightmare” of any woman walking alone at night.

Each of his victims was able to fight him off or talk to him and calm him down, the court heard.
