Primary School children in Flintshire will be tucking into something a little different this lunchtime

A unique new partnership  between local food producers in Flintshire and Flintshire County Council meals service will see primary schools in the county serve meals containing ingredients that have have come no more than 15 miles away.

The ‘Local Food School Dinner’ is part of a month long celebration of Flintshire Food led by Taste of Flintshire

As well as lunch, teachers will be provided with resource materials to use during today to help children understand where their food comes from (no not Iceland)

Recipes and supplier information will also be handed out so families can recreate the special lunch.
