Police take pedestrian to hospital following collision with van in Deeside

A pedestrian was taken to hospital on Friday after being  involved in a collision with a vehicle in Deeside. ‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌​

The incident happened on Chester Road West in the centre of Shotton. ‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌​

Emergency services were called just after 12.30pm to reports of a road traffic collision involving a pedestrian and van. ‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌​

A North Wales Police spokesperson said: “We were called at 12.45pm today (December 9th) to a report of a road traffic collision on Chester Road West, Shotton, involving a van and a pedestrian.” ‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌​

“Officers have attended to divert traffic and clear the scene.” ‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌​

A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesperson said: ‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌​

“We were called today, Friday 09 December, at approximately 12.33pm to reports of a road traffic collision involving a van and a pedestrian on Chester Road West in Shotton. ‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌​

“We sent one rapid response vehicle to the scene, and the police conveyed one patient to hospital.” ‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌​
