Police seek witnesses after fight on train between Prestatyn and Flint

Police are appealing for witnesses after a fight broke out on a packed train traveling from Llandudno to Manchester International Airport.

The incident happened at around 6.45pm on Saturday 12 July when two men began arguing between Prestatyn and Flint.

The argument escalated into a physical fight, causing distress to other passengers, police have said.

Some of those involved are believed to have been returning from a football match in Colwyn Bay, where Colwyn Bay FC played Marine FC in a pre-season friendly, and were heading to Crosby in Merseyside.

British Transport Police are asking anyone who witnessed the fight or has footage of the incident to come forward.

Witnesses can contact British Transport Police by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 579 of 12 July.

Alternatively, information can be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
