Police issue warning over rise in Nissan Juke thefts in Flintshire

North Flintshire Police have issued a warning to Nissan Juke owners after noticing a spike in thefts of the vehicle in the area.
Officers are urging drivers to remain vigilant and consider using steering wheel locks to deter keyless car thefts.
In a statement posted on social media, North Flintshire Police said: “We have noticed a trend of Nissan Jukes being stolen in the area. If you do own one, please be aware they are currently being targeted. A steering wheel lock is advised to prevent keyless car thefts – we will be working with our intelligence department and other forces to track down the vehicles and identify offenders.”
Police are collaborating with intelligence teams and neighbouring forces as part of their investigation to recover stolen vehicles and identify those responsible for the thefts.
Vehicle owners are encouraged to take additional steps to protect their cars, including parking in well-lit areas, using key signal-blocking pouches (Faraday pouches), and ensuring keys are stored securely away from entry points in homes.
Anyone with information about the thefts or suspicious activity is urged to contact North Flintshire Police 101 or the web live chat http://www.north-wales.police.uk/contact/chat-support.aspx
