Police confirm third body found in search for missing Conwy fishermen is Alan Minard

Police confirmed found on the Wirral coastline earlier this month is that of a fisherman from North Wales reported missing more than six weeks ago.

The 20-year-old Alan Minard went missing along with two others on a fishing boat known as the “Nicola Faith” in January.

North Wales Police has now confirmed that a body found on the Wirral on Sunday 14th March is that of Mr Minard.

His family have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers.

Police said: “The family would like to thank the local community and businesses for their tremendous support and donations, and request that their privacy be respected at this time.

“The thoughts of everyone at North Wales Police remains with the families and friends of the three fishermen.”
