Met Police arrest fugitive wanted for questioning over an alleged arson in Prestatyn

Police have confirmed  Richard Pentreath has been arrested by the Metropolitan Police’s Fugitive Unit overnight and is en route to North Wales for questioning.

Pentreath was wanted for questioning over an alleged arson with intent to endanger life following an incident at an address in Prestatyn during the early hours of Thursday, October 6.

He was arrested this morning in Gloucester by local officers working with detectives from the Met’s Sexual Offences, Exploitation and Child Abuse Command.

63-year-old Pentreath failed to attend Woolwich Crown Court in London on Monday, October 3 for historical rape offences.

he was convicted in his absence of 13 counts of rape and indecent assault.
